Víctor Simoes
A Lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in 2019, with a solid specialization in civil and commercial litigation. He is currently a thesis candidate for the Specialization in Commercial Law (UCAB) and has completed an Advanced Studies Program in Technology Law (UCAB, 2023), which gives him in-depth knowledge of the Venezuelan regulatory framework in areas such as Fintech, cryptocurrencies, and electronic signatures.
His professional practice is currently developed at Hexa Legal, focused on dispute resolution, with significant experience in commercial and civil litigation and Forfeiture of Assets (Extinción de Dominio). He has expertise in handling cases before the ordinary jurisdiction, including Civil and Labor Cassation, with proficiency in drafting notices of appeal and appeals. He is a key professional in the negotiation for the formation and termination of contracts within the Corporate Law area.
A fundamental pillar of his career is his experience in Arbitration. He has participated as a party in national and international commercial arbitrations and has served as Secretary of the Arbitral Tribunal in national proceedings, complementing the use of alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and negotiation.
His commitment to this area is reflected in his membership as a Partner of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club (Chapter -40), as well as being a Member of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Venezuela (AJE).
He keeps his education updated with specialized courses, notably the implementation and procedural aspects of the Forfeiture of Assets Law (2023-2024) and Finance for Non-Financial Professionals (2022).
