Magaly Vásquez

Dr. Magaly is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), with a Specialization in Penal and Criminological Sciences and a Doctorate in Law from the same University.

In addition to being a university professor at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various universities, she has served as a lawyer for the Office of Investigation and Legal Advisory of Congress and as an advisor to the Legislative Commission of the Congress of the Republic and advisor to the Evaluation and Competition Entrance and Permanence Commission of the Judiciary.

She was a co-author of the Organic Code of Criminal Procedure (1998) and the Special Law against Cybercrimes (2001). She is the author of several works and articles related to Venezuelan criminal procedure, a speaker at numerous conferences on the subject, and an arbitrator for specialized journals in the criminal and criminal procedural area.

She was the Director of the School of Law and General Director of Postgraduate Studies at UCAB. She is currently the Secretary General of this university.

Full Member of the Academy of Political and Social Sciences.
